<the what>
NYP.org receives heavy traffic from patients, doctors, executives, and prospective clients. Our job was to make it easier for users to navigate the site while giving it a facelift to align with NYP’s new “Stay Amazing” campaign.
<the design>
We started front and center with the NYP.org homepage, broke it apart to identify key components and modules, then put it back together to get a sense of the new look and feel.
The Stay Amazing campaign utilized NYP’s iconic square logo and so we brought that in as a strong motif throughout the pages.
We continued to work with UX designers to pull out more modules throughout the site, allowing us to flesh out the new design system. To flow smoothly from desktop to mobile, we used a fluid type scale and spacing guide. To keep some of the legacy branding, we continued to use the original color palette and repurposed some elements from the original pages.
When the new design system became more defined, we started working with the developers to integrate it into the site and built out clear guidelines for every component.
<the results>
Overall, we were successful at launching the new look and feel of NYP.org. The new system integrated well with their existing code and we were able to leave plenty of room to keep expanding the system as the site continues to grow.
